In the ongoing Korean Basketball League (KBL) finals, former University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tiger Rhenz Abando will represent the Filipino contingent as his team, the Anyang KGC, faces off against the Seoul SK Knights.

Abando, a member of the UST Tigers team that made it to the UAAP finals in 2019, has been making waves in the KBL with his impressive performances on both ends of the court. In the semifinals against the Incheon ET Land Elephants, Abando showcased his scoring prowess, dropping a career-high 28 points on 10-of-13 shooting.

The 6-foot-2 forward has been a valuable addition to the Anyang KGC, providing them with much-needed firepower and athleticism. He has been averaging 11.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game in his rookie season in the KBL.

On the other side of the court, the Seoul SK Knights will rely on their star player, Aaron Haynes, to lead them to victory. Haynes has been putting up impressive numbers throughout the season, averaging 20.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

The finals matchup between the Anyang KGC and the Seoul SK Knights is expected to be an intense battle, with both teams looking to clinch the championship title. It will be interesting to see how Abando will fare against some of the best basketball players in Korea and how he will represent the Filipino basketball community on the international stage.
Basketball fans worldwide will be eagerly watching as the two teams face off in what promises to be an exciting and hard-fought series. Will Abando and the Anyang KGC emerge victorious, or will Haynes and the Seoul SK Knights take home the championship title? Only time will tell.
