SMB Three Team PBA Trade

San Miguel Beer Secures Don Trollano in Three-Team PBA Trade

Don Trollano joined San Miguel Beer on Monday, completing a three-team swap that initially saw Robert Bolick transferring from NorthPort to NLEX.

The permission from the PBA Commissioner’s Office cleared the way for Trollano, who showed tremendous development with the Road Warriors and was the runner-up for the Most Improved Player award last season, to join the already talented Beermen group.

Trollano was sold to NorthPort in the first trade, allowing NLEX to acquire the rights to Bolick, who elected to return to the PBA following a stint in Japan’s B.League.

Northport acquired Ben Adamos, Kris Rosales, and a second-round selection for the following season as part of the transaction. As part of Bolick’s transfer, Kent Salado was moved to NLEX.

Trollano was then traded to San Miguel by the Batang Pier. To complete the trade, the Beermen delivered Allyn Bulanadi, Jeepy Faundo, and a second-round selection in Season 51.

Trollano’s signing is anticipated to bolster an already formidable San Miguel lineup, especially given the team’s current injury woes, which include essential players such as June Mar Fajardo, Jeron Teng, Terrence Romeo, and Simon Enciso.

NLEX signed Bolick to compensate for the absence of Kevin Alas, who is rehabilitating from an ACL injury.

This deal changes the makeup of the teams involved and sets the door for interesting on-court reunions and collaborations, such as Trollano rejoining with old Adamson teammates Jericho Cruz and Rodney Brondial under the supervision of active consultant Leo Austria.
