The NLEX Road Warriors are a professional basketball team in the Philippines’ Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The team is owned by billionaire Manuel V. Pangilinan, who owns TNT Tropang Giga and Meralco Bolts in the PBA. The Road Warriors play their home games in Antipolo, Rizal’s Ynares Center.
The Road Warriors began as the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa, a sister team of the TNT Tropang Giga, in 2014. After the NLEX Corporation, a toll road operator, purchased the club’s franchise in 2016, the squad was renamed the NLEX Road Warriors.
Frankie Lim is the Road Warriors’ current head coach. In August 2023, he was appointed to the role. Kevin Alas, Kenneth Ighalo, Matt Nieto, Kris Rosales, and Paul Varilla are on the roster.
The Road Warriors are one of the PBA’s most popular teams. They are well-known for their entertaining brand of basketball as well as their devoted fan base. The club hopes to build on its previous success and capture its second title soon.
